Your holiday resort at the lake „Chiemsee“
The health resort Übersee-Feldwies is located between the south bank of the lake Chiemsee and the mountains of the area “Chiemgau”. Two worlds are meeting here, on the one side the longest natural beach at the second largest lake in Southern Germany, and on the other side the impressive mountains of the Chiemgau Alps – from one part to the other nature pure.
A 40.000 qm large beach with playground, the largest and best equipped camping and caravan spots at the Chiemsee, separated nudism beach. For miles one can walk or bike around the lake or use the special “Kneipp” water basin. Many kinds of sports are offered, such as fishing, tennis, bikes are for hire, high level ropes, there is a school for paragliders and of course there are many events to attend like the Chiemsee-Reggae-Summer.
Art lovers can visit the 400 years old „Exter Kunsthaus” (art exhibition) which is a museum and gallery today. Our nature pavilion offers information for all persons interested in nature and environment protection and is a meeting place with exhibitions and nature excursions.

Übersee is located between Munich and Salzburg respectively between the Chiemsee and the Chiemgau Alps, 520 – 590 meters above sea level.

- By car:
By car it is very easy to reach your holiday resort Übersee-Feldwies: When you are on the highway A8 Munich – Salzburg, you just take the exit no. 108 „Übersee“

Advantages which you should enjoy! By train you are in no time in Übersee. It is the main line Munich – Salzburg, where the Intercity trains „Alpenland“ and „Königssee“ stop.

Guided motor bike tours as from May 2010, each Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. Please book your tour in advance by telephone.

Fishing at the Chiemsee:
7 nights accommodation with breakfast for the line fisherman, combined with a fishing card for 6 days: as from 199,-- Euro/per person

100 years Volksbühne Übersee 20.00 o´clock in Wirtshaus Feldwies an festive evening because it´s the 100 Jubilary of the Volksbühne Übersee
5.-16. August
200 years music for brass instuments in Übersee and 90 years folk-dance association On Thursday the 5. August begins the Festival until to the 16. August 2010. Daily arrangements in the pavillion are on the sportsfield. On Sunday the 8. August and 15. August is a worship and a festive procession with you go trough the city.
27.-29. August
16. Chiemsee Reggae Summer 2010 3 Days and Nights are brought into contact all Reggae fans of the world to celebrate the biggest Reggae Festival of Europe here in Übersee.
